New beginnings!

Dear Operators!

It’s been a while since our last blog post, but that doesn’t mean nothing has happened. We are impressed with the positive feedback we received from the community, so it’s time to unveil what we’re working on! The game was built from the ground up to make room for improvements like AI with formation capabilities, brand new UI, campaigns, more realistic heat signatures, new enemy vehicles and new weapons. You can find out more details in the upcoming news and ask us anything on our Discord server. Today we can share with you a screenshot from the main menu.

New terrain system!

Dear Operators,

New investment has been made and now we have a powerful terrain generation tool that will greatly improve Adrian’s work on new levels. Terrain happens to be a huge issue in the mobile gaming industry, especially due to its heavy performance impact, and probably that’s why It’s not a common thing to see big 3D terrains on our phones.

ATGMs such as BGM-71 TOW can reach a target that’s 4500m (2.8mi) away so we have to balance between size and performance to make missions realistic and smooth. We are aware of FPS problems on some devices and that’s why ATGM Operator is not available on devices with less than 2 GBs of RAM. Hopefully, due to optimizations, we’re working on, we will be able to lower this limit eventually.

More Targets!

Dear Operators,

As in every beginning we would like to thank you for having even the slightest interest for what we are doing here. As in previous post – we have mentioned that we started preparing a few changes that will not affect original way of playing ATGM Operator but will be make gameplay more smooth and easy to develop.

As you can see in the picture above, Bartek is currently working on the older levels, figuring out what should be changed to create new ones faster and make them more interesting.

Maciek is still working on new vehicles that you will be able to hunt down in upcoming missions.

And at the very end of this status update i want to encourage you to keep visiting this site as we are planning to launch several polls to give you the opportunity to shape new gameplay with us.

Helicopters!

Dear Operators,

We would like to thank you for the reviews and feedback! Most of our work is currently revolving around blowing off the dust of the project. There is a lot of work to be done to ensure that we can smoothly add new features without breaking the old ones. Many of you requested flying targets so there you have it – our 3D Artist has started sculpting a Mi-28 and here’s a sneak peek.

Resurrection

Dear Operators,

We are more than happy to announce that, due to the increasing popularity of ATGM Operator we have decided to resume working on it. In the next couple of weeks we will be focusing on the most frequent requests you made in your Google Play reviews.

First of all, we’ll remove limited fuel mechanics and ADs entirely.
Then we will optimize the game severely and after that we’ll start adding new content.
